POCO introduces 2024 devices for Gen Z

POCO, targeted at tech enthusiasts, is kicking off 2024 with three new midrange mobile devices designed for gaming, streaming and social media.

The new POCO X6 Pro and POCO X6 update the popular X-series with the latest processors and technologies. They deliver an enhanced display for smooth and immersive visuals and a triple-camera setup for content creation. The POCO M6 Pro features flagship-level features with a premium display, large-capacity storage and turbo charging.

“After a stellar 2023 in which POCO celebrated our fifth anniversary and met fans and partners at our first-ever POCO Carnival held in Thailand, we are once again shaking up the smartphone market. The new POCO X6 Pro unleashes flagship chipset, memory and storage together with big battery power to meet the needs of a new species of hardcore gamer – a ‘SPEED-CIES’ that comes with faster loading, smooth operation and instant responses.

The new Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset that sets a new speed record for a POCO device with an AnTuTu benchmark of 1,464,228¹. This premium processor delivers faster, smoother performance and improved power efficiency.

The POCO X6 Pro offers up to 12 GB of memory and up to 512 GB of storage for smooth use and serious multitasking. The device also comes with the upgraded WildBoost Optimization 2.0 for fast and fluid gaming experiences.

Both of the new POCO X6 Series devices also boast a 6.67" CrystalRes Flow AMOLED screen that delivers lifelike action in games or video and vivid colours even under bright sunlight. With ultra-slim bezels, the X6 Pro’s high screen-to-body ratio of 94% ensures a full-screen experience and a sleek, modern aesthetic.

The X6 Pro is equipped with a 64 MP triple camera setup and new features, including OIS (optical image stabilisation) to help users capture crystal clear photos during motion². There is also motion capture and motion tracking³.

The POCO X6 breaks records as a mid-range phone thanks to its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Mobile Platform, plus enhanced memory and storage, as well as a powerful battery.

Upgraded display and camera capabilities round out the POCO X6 offering. The phone’s 64 MP main camera introduces flagship-quality OIS while an additional 8 MP ultrawide lens and 2 MP micro camera offer room for exploration. The creative-minded can go wild with the portfolio of filters and frames, which include new retro and scenery filters.

Weighing 181 g⁵, the device is powered by a 5,100 mAh (typ) battery that supports 67 W turbo charging. This allows the device to power up to full capacity in 44 minutes⁶.

Another record-breaker in the midrange smartphone for its price bracket, the POCO M6 Pro lets users dive into the action with on-the-go entertainment and social media browsing.

The first-in-series 120 Hz Flow AMOLED display with ultrathin bezels offers full-screen, top-quality viewing that is more immersive and easy on the eyes⁷. Users will enjoy smoother scrolling, more fluid animation and a better experience during fast-paced games and video watching. The display also boasts 16x super-resolution touch – a highly-accurate touchscreen that is significantly smoother and steadier than a standard screen, allowing greater speed and precision for next-level gameplay⁸.

POCO’s latest flagship-level offering has an upgraded 64 MP triple camera and inbuilt OIS and EIS (electronic image stabilisation) to help users take and share stunning photos and videos⁹. OIS is rare in a mid-range phone, reducing camera shake and blur for professional results. For more distant subjects, a 2x in-sensor zoom allows users to capture sharper and more detailed images from afar.

The POCO M6 Pro is the first POCO phone to deploy the Helio G99-Ultra chipset, considered one of most powerful chipsets on the market at its price segment. It is designed for entertainment and delivers powerful performance at smooth frame rates. Another first for the M-series are the memory capacities - the POCO M6 Pro supports up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM ¹⁰. 

Charging is faster than ever too, with the first-in-series 67 W turbocharging.
