Wyndham brand sets foot in UAE via the Dubai Marina

Wyndham Dubai Marina, the first dedicated hotel development from leading Dubai-based property developer, The First Group, has celebrated its grand opening. The opening of the property marks the debut of the Wyndham brand in the UAE.
 
The four-star deluxe Wyndham Dubai Marina, which is managed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts - the world's largest hotel management firm - marks a major milestone for The First Group, which has built its reputation on developing high-quality serviced apartments and 'aparthotels' in Dubai.

The 32-storey, 486-room property is situated in a prime location offering stunning views of the Gulf and Dubai Marina, as well as nearby Bluewater Island, which will soon be home to the world's largest Ferris wheel, the Dubai Eye.

It is expected to prove popular with business and leisure guests as it is within walking distance of the Marina's major attractions, amenities and transportation links including Dubai Metro and tram services.

Wyndham Dubai Marina boasts dining options such as the Range Grill Restaurant & Bar, Essence all-day dining outlet, Chillz Pool Bar and Café Azur Lobby Lounge. The Wyndham Club Lounge provides views overlooking the Palm Jumeirah and Arabian Gulf. There are also extensive meetings and conference facilities.

Wyndham Hotel Group opens Ramada Nanjing, shares lineup for next few years

The Wyndham Hotel Group has furthered the reach of its Ramada brand with the launch of the 156-room Ramada Nanjing along with the signing of seven additional Ramada properties across the provinces of Jiangsu, Hubei, Shandong and Sichuan.

Developed by China Eastern Airline Jiangsu Co., one of largest airline operators in China, the Ramada Nanjing in Jiangsu is the newest upscale business hotel to open near Nanjing Lokou International Airport. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet, 24-hour shuttle service, on-site business centre, fitness centre and a variety of multi-functional meeting spaces. Two on-site restaurants, a coffee-shop and room service are also available.

The Ramada Nanjing is one of eight Ramada hotels expected to open in China all the way through to 2017, increasing the brand’s portfolio in the country by more than 10%. The 245-room Ramada Plaza Chibi in Hubei is also expected to open later this year. The property will be located near the city's new government offices and adjacent to a railway station. The hotel will offer an on-site business center, ballroom and meeting facilities. Three on-site restaurants will also be available. 

The brand currently has over 60 hotels in China and more than 840 hotels across 50 countries worldwide, with a global development pipeline of 183 hotels. "Ramada is a well-known, global brand that is highly regarded in the minds of travellers and it's because of these traits that the brand continues to see strong interest from the hotel development community," said Leo Liu, President and MD, Wyndham Hotel Group, Greater China. "With these newest properties, we're strengthening the brand's footprint in China and expanding its reach into what we believe to be key second-tier and third-tier cities.

The other properties to open by 2017 include the 150-room Ramada Encore Emeishan, the 200-room Ramada Encore Shanghai Hongqiao, the 200-room Ramada Dongying, the 243-room Ramada Guangzhou Conghua, the 300-room Ramada Suzhou and the 200-room Ramada Jining.
