GUESS celebrates the GUESS woman with GUESS Double Dare

GUESS has introduced GUESS Double Dare, a floral woody amber scent that captures the GUESS woman’s vibrant energy.

Perfumer Marypierre Julien of Givaudan was inspired by Marilyn Monroe for the perfume. "She captured everyone’s imagination with her beauty, style, playful free-spiritedness and her bold daring attitude. Her immaculate look was always carefully crafted; she spent hours in front of the mirror perfecting her persona. I wanted to capture all of these qualities with a ‘bold’ attention to detail when crafting this new GUESS Double Dare fragrance,” she said.

Available worldwide this September, GUESS Double Dare gives a first impression of sparkling tangelo that mingles with juicy wild strawberries and sweet aromas of exotic lychee. The heart features a layer of jasmine blended with bright green notes of muguet and violet leaf. The ultimate culmination of the fragrance is revealed with base notes of amber, vanilla and vetiver.

Designed by Lance McGregor, the GUESS Double Dare bottle maintains the legacy of the Dare pillar. Its delicate, soft curves, and edgy faceting introduce the signature bottle in a new golden hue. The bottle’s neck is adorned with a gold chain featuring the GUESS logo, while the iconic GUESS triangle can be found in the shape of the cap.

Photographed and directed by Yu Tsai, the GUESS Double Dare advertising campaign focuses on the model duo featuring Megan Williams and Natasha Bernard, both in GUESS outfits.

LBS and Fudan offering new Global Masters in Management double business degree

London Business School (LBS) and Fudan University's School of Management (FDSM) have jointly launched a Global Masters in Management (MiM) Double Business Degree.

Sir Andrew Likierman, Dean of London Business School, said, "This memorandum of understanding with Fudan is responding to a rising demand for talented people who understand how to do business in both the East and the West, and also demonstrates our commitment to working closely with Chinese corporate partners. The programme will give its graduates a 'two-world' mindset, combining direct exposure to China and the West. The balance of theory and practice will ensure students gain a head start in the competition for the world's best business jobs."

Professor Lu Xiongwen, Dean, FDSM, said in his speech at the signing ceremony that the collaboration between two strong and leading institutions combines the essence of management systems from the East and West. The double degree programme also integrates local practical experience with global vision to accommodate the demands of globalisation trends. He anticipates the programme will cultivate real elites with global vision in the business world.

Both institutions offer a strong, international background, unique education systems and rich resource networks. Participants will study at Fudan University and London Business School for one year, respectively, learning both first-class management concepts and practical commercial knowledge. Graduates will acquire master's degrees from both institutions.
