New Delhi-based tour company Travelogy India has created three portals to introduce travel through India. Two of the portals feature travel by luxury train in North India and include departure dates, detailed itineraries, destination highlights and costs. A third portal introduces South India.
The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) affiliate offers five exclusive journeys on the Maharajas' Express and also manages bookings for other luxury trains like Palace on Wheels, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, The Golden Chariot and The Deccan Odyssey, among others.
The company notes that luxury train journeys through North India are more common but there are also journeys like Pride of the South and Splendor of the South under the Golden Chariot Train and Jewels of the Deccan (a journey under the Deccan Odyssey Train) that go through South India.
