SmileDirectClub, the US-based teledentistry pioneer, has opened a new SmileShop location for Singaporeans looking to boost their confidence by investing in a smile they love. The new SmileShop opening is in partnership with Nuffield Dental Holdings and is located at Nuffield Dental Jewel in Wheelock Place.

Singapore’s newest SmileShop will offer the same patented retail concept and digital treatment process as existing shops at HarbourFront Centre and One Raffles Place.

As the first telehealth platform for direct-to-consumer teeth straightening, SmileDirectClub has been praised for its convenient and affordable clear aligner treatment and has helped over 1 million customers globally.

“2020 has not been an easy ride, but it reinforced the global need for innovative telehealth solutions that increase access to safe and effective care, like SmileDirectClub’s teledentistry platform,” said Kay Oswald, President of International at SmileDirectClub.

“It is a privilege to be at the forefront of the industry and to witness the power of teledentistry and the impact is has made on more than a million lives around the globe. At SmileDirectClub, we continue to innovate and provide the best possible customer experience through our telehealth platform.”

“Being on the ground here in Singapore since our launch has shown me the growing interest in clear aligner therapy, especially now while we face a global pandemic, customers are looking to transform their smiles in a convenient, safe and hassle-free way,” said Victor Tesnière, Director of Southeast Asia at SmileDirectClub.

“Expanding our SmileShops presence in Singapore enables more customers to start the new year with new smiles and continues our commitment towards providing high quality oral care and top-notch service in collaboration with our partners at Nuffield Dental Holdings.”

Nuffield Dental Holdings is a multidisciplinary dental group. “We are thrilled to partner with SmileDirectClub to launch our third SmileShop in Nuffield Dental Clinics, giving patients the benefit of a face-to-face consult with our dentists in addition to the convenience of the latest cutting technology in teledentistry,” said Dr Samintharaj Kumar, the founder and CEO of Nuffield Dental Holdings.

“At Nuffield Dental Jewel, our patients are busy Singaporeans focused on a holistic approach to personal wellness and oral care, making them perfect candidates for clear aligner treatment.”

Details:

SmileDirectClub aligner therapy is available for a flat rate of S$2,500, or through its SmilePay option of a S$350 deposit and S$115 per month for 24 months.

Customers first schedule a SmileShop visit at SmileDirectClub.com.sg.

During the free 30-minute SmileShop visit, SmileGuides will create a digital image of the customer’s teeth. The camera takes 6,000 photos per second, creating a 3D image. Each customer can also have an in-person consultation with a Singapore-registered dentist or orthodontist after the scan.

At the end of the appointment, customers will receive a complimentary lip balm and a bright on premium whitening and an LED accelerator light sample set. Once a Singapore-registered dentist or orthodontist approves, the treatment plan is sent to customers virtually.

After the customer approves the smile transformation, custom-prescribed SmileDirectClub aligners are manufactured in FDA-registered and certified US manufacturing facilities with the help of HP industrial 3D printers. Each aligner is custom-made from BPA-free plastic thermoformed onto personalised 3D-printed mouth moulds.

The aligners are shipped in an “all in one” blurple (blue and purple) box directly to the customer’s door. An assigned Singapore-registered dentist or orthodontist will conduct regular virtual check-ins with the customer, guiding each treatment remotely from beginning to end. Each treatment plan will take on average four to six months.

As the customer nears the end of their smile journey, SmileDirectClub encourages the ordering of a set of retainers to wear at night after treatment is complete. This helps to maintain the smile over time.
