The upscale boutique hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 20, the epicentre of Bangkok’s busiest tourism zone, in a neighbourhood known for its fine restaurants and buzzing nightlife, upscale lifestyle malls, spas and green recreation spaces.
The 50-room akyra Sukhumvit Bangkok will offer guests 30-60 sq m accommodation with cityscape views, as well as units with floor-to- ceiling glass doors that slide open onto generous balconies. The design aesthetic will combine natural woods with modern-retro chic accents.
The hotel features a rooftop lounge with a pool bar with sun loungers and cabanas that will cater for up to 100 people. The rooftop will also house a multipurpose function room.
On the ground floor, guests can enjoy a casual dining experience with the signature akyra gourmet breakfast and a choice of comfort foods.
The launch of akyra Sukhumvit Bangkok at the end of this year follows the recent opening of akyra Thonglor Bangkok – a property comprising 148 studios and one- to three-bedroom suites located in one of Bangkok’s most fashionable districts, renowned for its contemporary culture and creative cuisine.
“Our two akyra properties offer distinct urban experiences, but each one is also defined by the strong sense of style and independence that sets the akyra brand apart from other hotels. The aim is to make a stay with akyra far more than a room to sleep in at night, yet being one of the highlights of the overall Bangkok experience,” says Anchalika Kijkanakorn, Founder and MD of Akaryn Hotel Group.
