In an observation of data from real-world players, it was found that higher frame rates do indeed help reaction time and competitive performance. Those playing with higher-end GPUs with high refresh monitors have a meaningfully higher K/D ratio* over players playing with lower end GPUs with 60 Hz monitors. Ideally, the system should run at 144+ frames per second (FPS), paired with a high refresh monitor.
