Singtel operates Singapore’s most powerful and fastest 5G network, delivering 5G speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps. Since the launch of its 5G network in September 2020, Singtel has expanded its 5G network to provide indoor coverage at VivoCity, the largest mall in Singapore and boosted its islandwide coverage to include key residential hubs such as Clementi and Punggol.
Announced on 3 February, the indoor 5G coverage at VivoCity runs on the 3.5 GHz spectrum and advanced small cell radio dot technology, enabling speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps and a consistent and seamless 5G experience whether they are indoors or outdoors at the mall.
Singtel launched its first indoor 5G experience zone at its exclusive retail store on level 2 of VivoCity at the same time. Anyone with a smartphone can visit the store to experience 5G-powered Wi-Fi and stream exclusive 4K content from Love Nature.
Consumers in Singapore can get a taste of 5G speeds by visiting Singtel’s 5G experience zones at its multimedia kiosks and at UNBOXED Lite on Orchard Road as well. More 5G experience zones will be launched across the island in coming months. Singtel said it would extend its in-building 5G coverage to popular malls such as Ngee Ann City and Bugis Junction over the next few months.
