ZEE5 woos Pakistan, Bangladesh

Three months after its soft launch across 190+ countries, digital entertainment platform ZEE5 is now focused on Pakistan and Bangladesh.

India and Bangladesh launch connectivity projects

India PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee have jointly inaugurated a series of connectivity projects between the two countries.

These include the second Bhairab and Titas Railway Bridges along the 320-km Dhaka-Chittagong railway corridor in Bangladesh, and the International Rail Passenger Terminus at Chitpur in Kolkata, India.

The dignitaries also flagged off the inaugural run of the Bandhan Express between Kolkata and Khulna in southwest Bangladesh, a distance of over 150km. The train runs on Thursdays from Kolkata in the mornings, reaching Khulna in the early afternoon, leaving Khulna in the early afternoon to reach Kolkata in the evening.

Oman Air to fly direct to Singapore, Goa and Dhaka

Oman Air will launch services to three exciting destinations this spring. The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman will fly from Muscat to Singapore and Goa from 29 March and to Dhaka from August 2015.

The Chief Executive of Oman Air, Paul Gregorowitsch announced the new routes, saying: "We know there is strong demand for flights to each of these destinations. We are therefore very confident that the new services will prove extremely popular and I would encourage customers to book as early as possible.


"The launch of these new services continues our ambitious programme of expansion and follows the highly successful December 2014 introduction to our network of services to Manila and Jakarta."


Muscat to Singapore will operate daily and tickets can be booked now from OR233.8 return per person, including taxes and charges.


Oman Air will offer four flights per week between Muscat International Airport and Goa International Airport. Tickets can be booked now from OR161.3 return per person, including taxes and charges.


Oman Air will also offer four flights per week between Muscat International Airport and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Tickets can be booked now from OR186.9 return per person, including taxes and charges.
