Enterprise-class cloud services for SMBs from HP Helion

HP has announced HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Lean, which supports cloud applications for mid-sized and enterprise-level businesses such as application development and test environments and workplace collaboration solutions.

The managed infrastructure-as-a-service solution helps smaller businesses take advantage of the cloud quickly and expand easily as required, and at a lower cost than previously available for HP Helion managed services. The offering is delivered in HP’s secure, managed cloud computing environment, built to run business applications with high availability.

“HP already offers a feature-rich industry-leading managed virtual private cloud offering for enterprise customers,” said George Yammouni, GM, Workload and Cloud Services, HP Enterprise Services Asia Pacific and Japan. “The new HP Helion Managed VPC Lean now delivers a lower-priced alternative designed to enable clients to further optimise cloud workloads in the enterprise — while still providing superior, enterprise-class service and performance.”

The HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud Lean is now available in Australia, India, Japan and Singapore. A pilot trial service also is available for customers who want to certify an application to run in the cloud with the full support of the HP team.
