First GYOMU and Megumi-no-Sato stores open in Singapore

G7 International, the international operations arm of G-7 Holdings of Kobe, Japan, has opened a GYOMU supermarket and the first overseas Megumi-no-Sato store in Singapore. Both will be operated by BB&G-7 Retail, a G7 International joint venture with a local company.

GYOMU Japan, a franchise wholesale chain, specialises in imported products sold under the distributor's original brand, and across-the-board best prices.

Megumi-no-Sato are direct sales outlets focusing on agricultural products, fresh produce and health foods, direct from farmers. The first overseas Megumi no Sato store will sell vegetables imported from Japan, fruits, and select products from both countries.

Both GYOMU Japan and Megumi no Sato are located inside the Big Box supermarket in western Singapore. They are open 10:00 to 22:00 (Sundays through Thursdays and public holidays); and 10:00 to 23:00 (Fridays, Saturdays, and the eves of public holidays)
