Alcatel has launched the Alcatel A5 LED at Mobile World Congress. The world's first interactive LED-covered smartphone, A5 LED gives new meaning to personalisation.

"With the A5 LED, Alcatel is delivering new fun features, like light-up notifications and unique LED cover patterns and themes you create yourself, as well as an enhanced multimedia experience and more ways to take and share selfies, ideal for people who value having fun and letting their personality shine," said William Dowie, Portfolio Management Director, Alcatel.

The Alcatel A5 LED has an ergonomic slim profile and rounded edges. With the 4G LTE-ready Alcatel A5, users can:
  • Light up their notifications with a different light show for incoming calls, messages, alarms, and social media alerts.
  • Customise cover patterns with the Color Catcher 2.0 app
  • Light up music with complementary light shows, switching with a shake.
An octa-core processor that ensures photos, games, and movies load smoothly on the 5.2" HD display. A 5MP front camera comes with a selfie flash for brighter selfies even in low light. Bundled Face Beauty software ensures flawless selfies while Face Show turns selfies into personalised video clips. An 8MP rear camera has a dual-tone flash. Private Mode, which requires a different sign-in, allows users to store private photos and apps.
