Mandarin Orchard Singapore introduces two new vegetarian rice dumpling options

Commemorate this year’s Rice Dumpling Festival with Michelin-rated Shisen Hanten’s five varieties of rice dumplings in Singapore, created by Executive Chef Chen Kentaro.

Savour the popular Hong Kong-style dumpling which features premium ingredients including duck and scallop. Another signature is the abalone dumpling which includes premium baby abalone.

This year, there are two new vegetarian options. For the Japanese purple potato and pumpkin dumpling, steamed Hokkaido pumpkins are mixed with glutinous rice and stuffed with purple sweet potato, a healthy alternative. Also new is the azuki red bean dumpling that is filled with Japanese red bean paste.

The Assorted Dumpling Set, priced at S$65, is perfect as a gift. Each set contains the abalone dumpling, the Hong Kong-style dumpling, and two azuki red bean dumplings.
