Golden Week brings a promotion at The Sanya EDITION


The Sanya EDITION has a Golden Week room offer for those visiting China over the national holiday. Golden Week takes place in China 1 – 7 October.

As part of The Sanya EDITION’s Golden Week celebrations, the hotel will welcome guest chef Matthew David Ona, of Roof 325 Restaurant and Bar Shanghai, to take over its The Jade Egret restaurant.

Located atop the Shanghai History Museum overlooking People’s Square, ROOF 325 is one of the city’s leading restaurants. From 1 – 3  October, Chef Ona has created a steak and seafood tasting menu in celebration of Golden Week for the Sanya EDITION. The steak tasting menu will feature dishes such as bone marrow beef tartare, Australian wagyu beef and slow-braised beef brisket ragu pasta.

The seafood tasting menu includes Pacific salmon tartare, spicy seafood stew and pan-seared black cod fillet.

The Sanya EDITION is the brainchild of hospitality visionnaire Ian Schrager and Marriott International as part of EDITION Hotels. Located on China’s Hainan Island, the hotel offers a 20,000 sq m private ocean.

All rooms and suites feature views of the South China Sea. The hotel’s modern interiors are inspired by the culture of the Li people from Hainan. There are five restaurants and bars, a 4,000 sq m entertainment space, PLAYLAND, The Spa at The Sanya EDITION and a rooftop pool.

The promotion from 29 September – 6 October also features luxury accommodation in an ocean view double/loft studio room.
