The new ibis Styles Bangkok Silom elevates the Silom experience

Accor, the hospitality group, has introduced a trendy hotel experience to Bangkok’s buzzing neighbourhood of Silom. Savvy travellers are invited to experience creative, playful design inspired by Thai festivals at the ibis Styles Bangkok Silom.

The ibis Styles Bangkok Silom offers easy access to Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain and Silom MRT subway stations. The hotel collaborated with Thai artist, Tikkywow, to create the eye-catching mural at the hotel’s entrance with vivid pops of colour bursting onto Silom Road. The artist’s interpretation of the neighbourhood focusses on the vibrant history of Silom.

“Ibis Styles Bangkok Silom is one of Thailand’s most anticipated openings for 2022. A dynamic neighbourhood like Silom is the perfect fit for the trendy and inspiring ibis Styles brand. Its creative and playful designs will bring a sense of joy to the Silom community,” said Garth Simmons, CEO, Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea.

“This is our 12th ibis Styles hotel in Thailand. We are excited to expand our network in the country as the travel industry regains momentum and we welcome the world back to Asia.”

The hotel’s location makes it perfect for hosting meetings and events. Lumpini Ballroom, named after the iconic park, can accommodate up to 300 guests and be divided into three separate meeting rooms or open up into the lower atrium space.

Executive Chef Apipong Detsupha, or Chef Oak, helms the hotel’s outlets and is well regarded in Thailand thanks to his television appearances on some of the country’s top cooking contests. The all-day dining Prung Rod, meaning ‘seasoned’ in Thai, highlights freshly made Thai-style noodles and soups. The experience begins at the toppings bar where guests can add meat, vegetables, and spices into their bowl of noodles, served with hearty broth, as they wish.

For those craving barista coffee, the open-concept bar POPUP is the perfect spot to catch up on emails or meet friends by day. By night, cocktails can be enjoyed alongside homemade local dishes. The bohemian-style poolside rooftop bar BOHO is inspired by Thai music festivals, offering signature cocktails and Thai platters.

The hotel offers 264 rooms across five room configurations, including Standard Rooms and Premium Balcony Rooms. Thai elements and bright colours imbue the space with personality. Each room features the Sweet Bed by ibis, 43" smart LCD TVs, and rain showers.

“Guests staying at this stylish hotel can look forward to enjoying comfortable rooms at accessible prices and creative dining experiences, from street-food-style fare to the funky rooftop bar. Silom has long been loved for its lively energy, and our hotel is ready to welcome guests seeking to explore the neighbourhood,” said Nitah Thongsuk, GM, ibis Styles Bangkok Silom.
