Thai ordinary passport holders are now able
to travel visa-free to 26 countries and three economies, namely Taiwan,
Hong Kong, and Macau. Taiwan’s
authorities have launched a one-year trial visa-exemption programme for Thai
ordinary passport holders who wish to visit Taiwan for tourism,
effective from 1 August.
Those eligible will now be able to travel and stay in Taiwan for up to 30 days. Thai nationals who wish to take advantage of this visa-free privilege must: hold a Thai ordinary passport with a minimum validity of six months; hold a return ticket or an onward ticket to another destination; and not be considered an inadmissible person.
