Marriott International has opened Fairfield by Marriott Belitung on the Indonesian island of the same name.
“Fairfield by Marriott is growing momentum in this region with 47 properties in the pipeline in Asia Pacific and over 400 properties worldwide,” said Mike Fulkerson, VP, Brand & Marketing Asia Pacific, Marriott International.
“The brand offers a calming, reliable experience at a great value, and with the added warmth of Indonesian hospitality, Fairfield by Marriott Belitung promises to be a great retreat.”
Situated at Tanjung Pendam Beach, the hotel boasts sunset views, local culinary delights, and signature hospitality. Nature lovers can visit the Beraye Waterfalls and Batu Mentas Nature Reserve, which is home to the endangered Tarsius monkey.
Cultural enthusiasts can explore colonial houses from the 19th century in the Manggar area or other historical places such as the Giri Jati Balinese village and Maritime Museum.
The architecture of the resort was inspired by traditional Rumah Panggung stilted houses with simple interiors. All 136 guestrooms, including 11 suites, are flooded with natural daylight and face the swimming pool and ocean. Each guestroom and suite features an LED TV and free Wi-Fi.
The contemporary Lobby Bar is a convenient space for a casual meeting while KAVA Restaurant serves authentic Indonesian favourites and international flavours, with live cooking stations. After breakfast, the restaurant serves as an extension to the Lobby Bar and transforms into an open, flexible space for work and relaxation. A 24-hour gym is open to keep guests on track with their workout routine.
Guests can host gatherings or business meetings in the 113 sq m Pelenduk Room. Designed with partition walls, the large meeting room can be divided into smaller meeting spaces, and also has a foyer that can be set up for coffee breaks or cocktail receptions. Guests can also host events at the 54 sq m Labi Labi Room and 57 sq m Trenggiling Room. All meeting spaces are equipped with audio and video technology, including TV or projector connectivity, videoconferencing facilities, wireless microphone and high-speed Wi-Fi.
“Fairfield by Marriott Belitung strives to bring out the beauty of simplicity, from our warm welcome to our comfortable spaces, we guarantee a reliable and calming experience, each and every stay,” said Joe Xavier Fijardo, GM, Fairfield by Marriott Belitung.
Fairfield by Marriott is designed for today's traveller who is looking to be productive on the road. In addition to complimentary Wi-Fi and hot breakfast, Fairfield offers rooms and suites that provide separate living, working and sleeping areas.
