Samsung Electronics Company has announced the Galaxy A27 5G, which refines everyday mobile use with an immersive display, reliable performance and integrated AI features. Building on the popular Galaxy A26 5G, the new device is designed to keep up with everyday activities.

With a slim 7.8 mm body, the Galaxy A27 5G is designed to feel comfortable in the user’s hand throughout the day. Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform¹, the Galaxy A27 5G delivers a smoother and more responsive experience. A boost in GPU performance delivers smoother graphics for gaming and streaming, while the latest high-speed memory enables faster data transfer speeds and improved power efficiency.

For smoother and more seamless viewing, the Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7" Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also introduces an upgraded Infinity-O display, which minimises the visible camera area through a discreet punch-hole design. Together with a reduced and more balanced bezel, this adds screen space and removes distractions to keep content front and centre. The Galaxy A27 5G also introduces a 12 MP front camera that captures a wider range of brightness and richer colours.

With a 5,000 mAh (typical) battery², users can enjoy up to 23 hours of video playback on a full charge, while Super Fast Charging provides up to 45% charge in just 30 minutes.

The Galaxy A27 5G introduces upgrades to its suite of Awesome Intelligence features, making mobile intelligence more accessible. Circle to Search³ with Google now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to search for multiple items within an image at once in a single gesture. It also allows outfits to be virtually tried on directly from search results, helping users to explore new styles from anywhere.

Object Eraser⁴ has also been enhanced. It now delivers more precise results, making it easier to remove unwanted distractions with more natural-looking edits. Additionally, Voice Transcription⁵ in the Voice Recorder app can now translate as it transcribes, making it easier to capture meeting notes in 22 languages.

Building on the Awesome Intelligence⁶ experiences introduced earlier this year, the Galaxy A27 5G supports a choice of AI assistants, including Google Gemini⁷ and Perplexity⁸. There is deeper integration across more native Galaxy apps as well, including Gallery. The Galaxy A27 5G further supports Bixby⁹ as a conversational device agent.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the latest additions to the Galaxy A Series – the Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A17 and Galaxy A07. Designed to empower users from all walks of life, these new devices feature essential, AI-powered features, strengthened security and privacy upgrades, as well as a sleek, modern design.

Durable, lightweight, reliable and long-lasting, the new Galaxy A Series enables users to do more, see more, and be more. The new Galaxy A17 offers fan-favourite features from the Galaxy S Series, furthering Samsung’s vision of democratising AI experiences to more users. 

This includes the seamless integration of Google Gemini activation through pressing and holding the side button, as well as Gemini Live, a voice-activated hands-free experience. Both AI features allow users to cue seamless interactions across Samsung, Google or third-party apps like Spotify. Circle to Search⁴ with Google is also available on the Galaxy A17 – supporting new ways to access information.

Samsung Galaxy Watch8 series helps users get healthier

A recent study has estimated that Singapore could save up to S$650 M in direct healthcare costs if Singaporeans made long-term changes to their lifestyles.

If high levels of stress persist, High Stress Alert will immediately signal users for a break. There is also the Mindfulness Tracker, through which users can record their mood and receive guidance on breathing exercises to relieve stress.

The Galaxy Watch is also the first in the industry to introduce Antioxidant Index³, a feature to measure carotenoids via its BioActive sensor. Antioxidants help to protect against cell damage and slow ageing. 

The BioActive Sensor can provide a number of real-time insights: 

- The Sleep Apnea⁴ feature, approved for use by the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA), enables users to detect moderate to severe signs of sleep apnea, when proper breathing is affected while sleeping. The condition affects approximately one in three Singaporeans.

- The Galaxy Watch8’s enhanced Electrocardiogram (ECG)⁵ can better capture ectopic beats, extra or skipped heartbeats that occur outside of the normal heart rhythm. While mostly harmless, identification of frequent ectopic beats could add to insights for preventive care. 

The Galaxy Watch8 Series further delivers personalised fitness insights. Running Coach⁹ calculates users’ fitness level from 1 to 10 and develops a tailored training plan complete with real-time guidance and motivational insights. With the Together feature which now supports running, users can gamify their fitness journey by challenging friends and family. 

Plus, the AI-powered Energy Score¹⁰ gives consumers a snapshot of their energy level, combining physical and mental energy metrics to guide users to plan for a healthier day ahead.  

The distinctive cushion design, which debuted with Galaxy Watch Ultra, now defines the entire Galaxy Watch lineup. To achieve the thinnest design yet, the internal structure of the Galaxy Watch8 Series was completely reengineered, resulting in an 11% thinner design⁷. Combined with the Dynamic Lug system, the new Galaxy Watch8 Series fits snugly on the wrist, providing greater comfort and improved stability⁶ for a better fit and enhanced health-tracking accuracy.

A 3 nm processor delivers faster performance and greater power efficiency. The display is 50% brighter⁶ with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits for easy visibility, even under bright sunlight, while the dual-frequency GPS provides more detailed and precise location results⁶.

Developed in close collaboration with Google, the Galaxy Watch8 Series is the first smartwatch to come out of the box with Gemini¹¹, Google’s AI assistant, and be powered by Wear OS 6. Go hands-free using natural voice commands to get things done on the go with Galaxy Watch apps like Samsung Health, Calendar, Reminder, and Clock. For example, saying “Start a 30-minute run” initiates the workout in Samsung Health.  

Available in 44 mm or 40 mm sizes and in Graphite or Silver, the Galaxy Watch8 provides comfort and style. Meanwhile, Galaxy Watch8 Classic brings offers a rotating bezel and a quick button for added convenience. The Classic model measures 46 mm and comes in Black and White. Both models can be matched with a diverse range of bands¹². 

For those who love outdoor adventures, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is the most advanced and durable Galaxy Watch model yet. The 2025 edition has a storage capacity of 64 GB, up from 32 GB in previous editions. In Singapore, a new Titanium Blue colour will be introduced as part of the launch.

For consumers who are looking for a more discreet wearable that offers continuous health tracking, Samsung recommended the Galaxy Ring. With up to seven days of battery life, the ring is available in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold, in sizes 5-15¹³.

Samsung also recently announced the availability of the One UI 8 Watch update for Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) to help more Galaxy users to unlock motivational health features.

The data provided by this device is also not intended to assist clinicians in diagnosing sleep disorders. Availability may vary by market, carrier, model or a paired smartphone.

The all-new Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series is now available in Singapore. Announced in April, the tablets offer new entry points to the Galaxy ecosystem on a premium tablet design. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ boast 10.9" and 13.1" screens respectively. Both have a 90 Hz refresh rate and 800 nits high brightness mode (HBM), framed in slimmer bezels.

Boosted by Awesome Intelligence, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series is also thinner and lighter. Samsung’s Intelligent Features empower users to get more done with ease, while a slimmer design helps users to achieve their creativity and productivity on-the-go.

• Customisable AI assistants are instantly launched with a single tap of the Galaxy AI key⁴ on the book cover keyboard.

• An upgraded Object Eraser⁵ lets users effortlessly remove unwanted objects from photos, with automatic suggestions for quick and easy edits.
