Malabar Gold & Diamonds marks opening of 150th showroom

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the jewellery retail group, has announced the milestone of 150 showrooms with the inauguration of five new showrooms in Barka, Oman; Sharjah, UAE; as well as Mehdipatnam and Belagavi (Belgam) in India.

The 22-year-old group is currently expanding their business in Hong Kong and Indonesia. The group plans to operate 300 showrooms by 2020. "With the opening of our new showrooms we will be able to satisfy our customers with more value added services," says Malabar Group Chairman MP Ahammed.

In line with the Prime Minister's 'Make in India' initiative, Malabar Group is implementing advanced technology at manufacturing facilities in the KINFRA industrial park in Kerala and also in West Bengal, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh in India. These manufacturing units are also expected to provide job opportunities to more than 5,000 skilled workers.
