Big Street set meals offer even more value for money

Singapore restaurant Big Street has created a limited edition multi-course set meal at S$26/per person nett for a minimum of two people.

The promotion is on for the month of June for both lunch and dinner:

Appetiser: Garden greens with cherry tomato salad

Soup: Oriental chicken with snow fungus and wolfberry soup

Main dishes:

 Hainanese steamed kampong chicken
 Seasonal vegetables with mushrooms
 Big Street chili king prawn
 Thai fragrant steamed rice

Big Street's standard set meals are priced at S$9.90 nett for lunch. Menu choices include:

Soup of the day

Choice of one main dish:

  • Seafood fried rice
  • Chicken kway teow soup
  • Hokkien prawn noodle
  • Chicken briyani rice
  • Prata chicken set

Dessert: Fresh tropical fruit

Set dinners cost S$19.90 nett, and feature an appetiser, soup, main dish, and a dessert.

Big Street, creator of Singapore’s chilli crab prata, is a 100-seater restaurant, café, and ice cream parlour on one level, and a lounge bar on another.  The restored traditional pagar rumah has a dove grey and white façade with pakar pintu windows. The interior features leather and wooden chairs plus white marble top tables on teak flooring.

The establishment serves Singapore’s top 10 street dishes with its own spin. Hainanese kampong chicken rice, for example. Big Street is accredited by the Ministry of Social & Family Development as a disabled-friendly establishment, and welcomes all ages.
