Epson 3LCD EB-2000 series business projectors can be controlled with gestures

Epson has launched the versatile 3LCD EB-2000 series of business projectors, delivering superior levels of brightness and high-quality connectivity for meetings and classrooms.

The mid-range EB-2000 series delivers vivid and clear images, even in well-lit environments with an enhanced brightness of up to 5,500 lumens. Images are clear with a superior contrast ratio of 15,000:1, and a range of resolutions are supported, from XGA to WUXGA. The ecofriendly light optimiser sensor detects environment brightness levels and automatically adjusts the projector brightness for power and cost savings.

The EB-2000 series comes with the gesture presenter feature, a first of its kind. Users can conveniently control presentations by tapping on the projected image, eliminating the need for clickers.

Connectivity features include an MHL-enabled HDMI input for mirroring of Android mobile devices, as well as HDBaseT1 support for transmission of ultra-high definition video and audio content. With this, users can screen full HD content easily from devices for high impact delivery.

The Miracast function2 enables screen mirroring with wireless transmission of full HD video and sound from compatible smart devices and laptops, without need for any software installation. Additionally, the projectors come with multi-PC projection capabilities, and can connect up to 50 terminals through a host PC from a single projector for collaboration purposes.

With the iProjection app, users can easily share and transmit images, texts and files from smart devices and laptops wirelessly. The new QR code function enables easy connection by scanning of a projected QR code. iProjection also has a remote control function built in.

Equipped with a built-in camera, the projectors provide automatic vertical and horizontal keystone correction and adjustment to correct distorted images projected at any angle upon projection in real-time. Real-time keystone adjustment enables the projector to display the corrected image less than a second after detecting the projector motion.

Additionally, the split screen feature enables input from two different sources to be displayed side-by-side on the same screen, which can be used in videoconferences for content from different participants to be projected together.

“Users who are looking for a mid-range projector will be delighted with the versatile and feature-packed EB-2000 series, which delivers superb connectivity and a host of innovative and convenient features for enhanced productivity at meetings and in classrooms,” said Tan May Lin, Epson Singapore’s GM (Sales, Marketing & Customer Service Division).
