Novotel Hotels, Suites & Resorts, an Accor brand, has debuted in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with the Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1.

Incorporating a modern, intuitive design, a relaxed social hub, and a range of dining and wellness options, this newly-constructed hotel is strategically located within walking distance of Bassac Lane and Langka Lane, two of the liveliest neighborhoods in Phnom Penh. It is also 10 minutes on foot from the Independence Monument and Wat Langka, one of the city's oldest pagodas. Shopping malls, office buildings, and the riverside area are also within easy reach.

“The opening of Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1 marks a remarkable milestone as we proudly introduce the Novotel brand in the vibrant heart of Phnom Penh. This reaffirms our commitment to contributing to the growth of the hospitality and tourism industries in the flourishing Asian region,” commented Garth Simmons, COO of Accor's Premium, Midscale and Economy Division in Asia.

“Cambodia holds immense growth potential, and we take pride in being a significant part of the country's economic development. As the 9th Accor hotel in Cambodia, Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1 expresses our confidence in the market's boundless opportunities.”

“We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our guests, introducing the Novotel experience to Phnom Penh for the first time," said Julien A. Péchey, GM, Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1.

"One highlight of our hotel is a collaboration with the talented Cambodian/French-Canadian artist, FONKi, who has skilfully crafted a new and modern interpretation of Kbach Khmer graffiti design throughout the hotel. These artworks seamlessly blend the visual elements of Phnom Penh's iconic landmarks, bridging the past and present.”

Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1 boasts 254 guest rooms, ranging from Superior rooms to Executive Suites with either city or Mekong River views. The graffiti pop art walls in each room are crafted by local artists, adding a vibrant touch while narrating the story of the neighbourhood. Guests staying in Executive rooms can enjoy access to the Executive Lounge on the 20th floor, offering private meeting spaces for both work and social interaction.

Makila, an all-day dining restaurant, invites guests to embark on a Basque culinary journey. The ambience of the Basque region comes alive with Espelette chilli decorations and murals crafted by FONKi. Each dish offers vibrant and distinct Basque flavours with a touch of French influence. The menu boasts signature dishes such as snail crème brûlée, chicken Basquaise, and gâteau Basque.

Kaixo (meaning 'hello' in the Basque language) is on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby area. The bar offers a diverse selection of beverages with a Basque influence on the cocktails. Guests can indulge in a high tea experience in the afternoons complemented by pintxos - snacks typically eaten in bars - for sharing.

Novotel Phnom Penh BKK 1 celebrates its opening with a special offer on rates starting from US$103+++ per room. There is a US$15 food & beverage credit per room per night. This offer is valid until 30 June 2024.
