StarHub rewards loyal customers at iPhone launch

What began as a regular iPhone preorder has turned into an exclusive experience for four of StarHub’s customers.

In appreciation of their loyalty, StarHub enabled them to be the first in Singapore to unbox and start using their new iPhones. The customers began with a supercar ride from their homes to the launch event at StarHub’s flagship retail outlet in Plaza Singapura.

The customers – Lim Choon Nguan, Mdm Lim Lay Kiong, Mrs Linda Haverkamp, and Mdm Yeong Cheng Kit were received by StarHub’s Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos, Chief of Consumer Business Group Johan Buse, Acting Chief of Enterprise Business Group Arthur Tang and Chief Human Resource Officer Catherine Chia.

At 8am on the dot, the four completed the phone activation process, becoming Singapore’s first users of the new iPhones. In addition, Kaliaropoulos and team presented each customer with a personalised gift, an iPhone case with their name engraved on it, and a two-year subscription to the 50GB with worry-free data add-on (worth S$240) to bid excess data charges goodbye.

All four customers paired their iPhone purchases with StarHub’s #HelloChange mobile plans, which offer significantly large data bundles with free surfing every weekend on its superfast mobile network. StarHub customers enjoy free caller ID forever and complete freedom from hidden administrative charges, which may not be the case with competing telcos.

All existing and new StarHub customers can enjoy a free one-month subscription when they upgrade their iCloud storage plan to 50 GB, 200 GB or 2 TB, so long as they have an iPhone or iPad. Thousands of preorder customers will get their iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max starting today. The new iPhones are now available for purchase at S$0 upfront with a monthly instalment payment plan online all-day or at StarHub Shops.

Customers can try out Apple’s latest products, including the iPad and Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) in one go a the new Apple showcase at the StarHub Shop in VivoCity. The largest showcase for a telco, it promotes an enhanced customer experience for all Apple fans, offering them an opportunity to discover how Apple products and StarHub services are seamlessly integrated. The showcase is also available at StarHub Shop in Tampines Mall and StarHub Shop in Causeway Point.
