Beloussov kicking off the Acronis True Image 2016 launch.

Acronis, the global new generation data protection provider, yesterday announced the release of Acronis True Image Cloud and Acronis True Image 2016 in Singapore, where it is headquartered.

Serguei Beloussov, Acronis Co-Founder and CEO, predicted that data protection will soon become one of our basic needs, on par with air, water, food and shelter. "Data is like a complete life record. Preserving data is important today and it is going to be more important in the future. At some point... every piece of data should be kept forever," he said. "We believe is that backup should be really really easy."

The newest versions of its backup solution for consumers have gone beyond packages for individuals to families and home office users as well. The family comprises an updated Acronis True Image, a universal full image backup solution that can complete a 20 GB full image backup in eight minutes; and the new Acronis True Image Cloud, which provides complete protection both locally and in the cloud.

Acronis True Image Cloud features multi-device and new mobile device support – including Android, iPhone, and iPad devices and Windows tablets – a new easy-to-use online dashboard that lets users manage all devices from a single place, unlimited cloud storage and a new personal archiving feature.
