Dell has opened its third exclusive store in Singapore located at the newly revamped Funan mall. Besides showcasing an extensive range of consumer products and peripherals including the latest from the XPS, Inspiron, G Series and Alienware brands, the new store will house a full range of Dell’s commercial product portfolio including the Latitude and Precision brands, as well as Vostro for small businesses.

The new Dell store will also feature an in-store working space equipped with docking stations, the latest Dell desktops and monitors, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. The in-store working space aims to provide an opportunity for on-the-go consumers to interact, collaborate and engage as they need.

Dell’s small business and commercial range of products can also be chosen and customised in-store. The service was previously only available online. Consumers will be able to experience the actual products in-person and turn to Dell's store hands for purchase advice.

“We’re constantly listening to what consumers want and need from their PCs to fit their lifestyles. Our new store at Funan, which houses a full range of Dell products, provides consumers with greater access to their desired devices. Whether you’re looking for a powerful workstation that can support intensive workloads such as video or photo editing, or a laptop that boasts great cinematic experiences, you’ll find one here that fits your needs and budgets,” said Jarebb Chua, Country Manager, Consumer & Small Business, Singapore and Malaysia, Dell Technologies.

A number of products were also launched.

Inspiron

Dell’s new Inspiron portfolio includes a range of new laptops, 2-in-1s and all-in-ones (AIOs), with fresh and contemporary designs, features and prices. The new Inspiron 15 7000 series, already available in Singapore, are ultralight laptops that prioritises performance, equipped with 9th generation Intel Core H-class processors that offer up to eight cores, up to 16 GB of DDR4 memory and dual NVMe solid state drive (SSD) options, along with the latest NVIDIA GTX 1650 graphics.

The laptop is built with magnesium alloy for incredible lightness. The material maintains the rigidity and stability of traditional aluminium. The power button is incorporated within the keyboard and fingerprint reader for a cleaner look, allowing room for a full number pad on a more compact system.

The new Adaptive Thermals feature of the Inspiron 15 7000 detects if the laptop is on a lap or desk and adjusts the thermal profiles accordingly. Along with dual heat pipes, fans and a drop-hinge, the components work together to keep the system cool by exhausting heat out of hidden vents in the hinge, allowing for an overall thin and light design without compromising on performance.

An aluminium model (7591) allows a third storage drive to be installed with a maximum of two NVMe SSDs and one hard disk drive (HDD).

Dell is also introducing the new Inspiron 13 5000 laptop which combines a 13” display with a thin and light design and a mobile broadband connection. Dell focused on creating a stylish aesthetic with aluminium, narrow borders, and diamond-cut edges around the touchpad, along with contemporary colours, including Platinum Silver and Iced Lilac*1. Mobile broadband*2 via a Micro SIM card slot is available as an option.

Inspiron 7000 2-in-1

The 13” Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 device features the latest 8th Gen Intel Core™ processors, upscale design with an aluminium body, narrow borders and a diamond-cut finish on the click pad edge. A first-of-a-kind garage in the hinge1 provides storage for the included full-size Active Pen that is accessible no matter how it is used. Designed with form and functionality in mind, the new keyboard integrates the power button and fingerprint reader into a new power key as part of the keyboard itself.

The Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 devices also feature Adaptive Thermal technology that enables the system to adjust its performance profile based on how a user is holding it. The device changes power profiles to generate less heat when watching movies on a lap and ramps up to full power for productivity on a desk.

Inspiron All-In-Ones

Dell is announcing two new completely-redesigned AIOs that bring a clean and renewed focus back towards the screen. The Inspiron 24 5000 AIO and Inspiron 27 7000 AIO feature InfinityEdge and a vivid and clear 23.8” or 27” FHD 1080p display with a pop-up webcam. Both contain a forward-firing speaker bar beneath the display to direct the speakers’ acoustic energy towards the listener. With the addition of Dell Cinema, the AIOs provide an enjoyable and immersive experience whether in a kitchen, dorm or family room. Dell transitioned traditional stands to a TV-inspired stand for simple setup and to deliver a neat aesthetic, allowing users to slide the keyboard underneath the display.

Both are available in several finishes with colour-coordinated stands and speaker mesh to fit seamlessly into their environment. Designed with a beautiful, harmonious style and significant performance from Next Gen Intel® Core® i3, i5 or i7 CPUs and optional NVIDIA MX 110 discrete graphics, the Inspiron AIOs are reliable, simple and affordable systems that keep consumers connected – to catch up on a favourite Netflix series or dive into homework.

Latitude 7400 2-in-1

People demand more from today’s technology and want portability and connectivity without sacrificing performance in addition to a machine that’s beautiful and responsive. The Latitude 7400 2-in-1 delivers all of this, with what appears as a sixth sense – an ability to be ready to go before users even touch it. The world’s first PC to use a proximity sensor enabled by Intel Context Sensing Technology1, this 2-in-1 features ExpressSign-in which detects user presence, wakes the system and immediately scans for facial recognition to log in with Windows Hello. Even when a user steps away for a break, it will recognise that they have left and will lock itself to preserve battery life and maintain security.

A CES 2019 Innovation Honoree, the Latitude 7400 2-in-1 is the world’s smallest commercial 14” 2-in-12. Its variable-torque hinge means that it can be opened easily, and it’s offered with a stunning new Titan Gray machined aluminium finish. It will also be the first Latitude to use Dell’s ocean-bound plastics packaging.

Despite the small footprint, Dell’s engineers refused to sacrifice performance, battery life, connectivity, ports or IT-trusted features. In fact, the Latitude is expected to deliver the longest battery life in its class based on preliminary testing. It is targeted for up to 24 hours of run time3 on a single charge, and Dell’s ExpressCharge™ gets the battery charged back up to 80% in just an hour4.

The new Vostro 13 5000 is the thinnest in the Vostro portfolio and comes equipped with advanced video-conferencing technology, making it the perfect notebook for mobile professionals and road warriors who need to attend meetings from anywhere.

XPS 13 2-in-1

The XPS line is Dell’s most awarded line of devices celebrated for its best-in-class technologies, exceptional build and materials and ability to blend both power and beauty. Dell is taking that commitment one step further with the launch of the new XPS 13 2-in-1, redesigned and higher performing than the previous generation.

The display experience has been elevated on all fronts and the InfinityEdge display has been refined to a 16:10 format. The XPS 13 2-in-1 now offers a stunning edge-to-edge screen and 7% larger viewing experience. The most innovative webcam and Dell’s smallest laptop camera ever is now located at the top bezel, a long awaited ask from customers. The new display offers improved colour accuracy and resolution with FHD+ and UHD+ options to capture precise detail and sharp images, as well as the ability to enjoy HDR content with a HDR400 certified UHD+ panel and Dolby Vision*3.

With the addition of Eyesafe display, Dell is helping reduce potentially harmful blue light emissions while maintaining colour gamut performance. The new design combines expert craftsmanship and premium materials, including CNC machined aluminium with high polished diamond cut sidewalls, black carbon fibre or arctic white woven glass fibre palm rests, along with Gorilla Glass 5 for both durability and beauty. Dell has also elevated the essentials with a larger touchpad, edge-to-edge MagLev keyboard and new hinge design, blending an exceptional user experience and beautiful design, in a remarkably small size.

XPS 15

Dell’s flagship and one of the smallest 15.6" laptops, the XPS 15 now offers even more power with the latest 9th Generation Intel Core™ processors up to eight-core i9 and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, enabling creators to experience faster speeds across graphic design, photography and music production.

It includes an UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) InfinityEdge 15.6” touch display option to deliver high brightness, saturated colour and precise details, enabling content creators to perform at their best for intensive projects. As previewed at CES 2019, the XPS 15 will offer an OLED option, the first in the XPS line – complete with self-lighting pixels which switch off completely to achieve perfect black for significantly higher contrast, so content comes alive with a wider colour range (100% DCI-P3) and enhanced detail, especially in dark areas. The 4K display paired with Dolby Vision content can deliver highlights up to 40 times brighter and blacks up to 10 times darker*5.

The addition of Killer AX1650 built on Intel Wi-Fi 6 Chipset delivers nearly 3x faster throughput than the previous generation in crowded environments*6. Coupled with up to 64 GB of memory*7 and up to 2 TB PCIe SSD*8 and the longest battery life of any 15” laptop, consumers have a high performance, unmatched device.

Additionally, the XPS 15 comes with a laptop camera at the top bezel that avoids sacrificing the InfinityEdge display. Dell continues to prioritise beautiful design in the product by leveraging premium materials including CNC-machined aluminium, carbon fibre and Gorilla glass to create one of the smallest 15.6” laptops of its kind.
