Usagyuuun to appear in Claw Stars universe

Minto and Appxplore (iCandy) will run a collaborative event that brings the iconic Usagyuuun character, instantly recognisable from stickers used in messaging apps, to the mobile game Claw Stars, Google Play's Best Pick Up & Play Game of 2021.

Minto is a leader in character IPs with over 6 B downloads worldwide. This crossover is their first-ever game collaboration for one of their leading IPs.

With games that have garnered over 40 M downloads, Appxplore's experience in game development synergises with the popularity of Usagyuuun, which has over 570 M downloads globally. Claw Stars combines the claw machine concept with the fun of collectibles into a social multiplayer game that is enjoyed by millions. The highlight of this collaboration will be the unique inclusion of the Usagyuuun character within the game. 

Players will be able to navigate their way across planets in Claw Stars, playing as Usagyuuun with their friends. To further leverage the social and whimsical nature of the IP, Claw Stars will also be introducing a set of Usagyuuun stickers that players will be able to use in their multiplayer Squadron chat.

Lim Jenn Yu, the CCO of Appxplore who heads the development of Claw Stars, said that he has always seen the greater potential of the IP through collaboration and merchandising.

“Usagyuuun fits perfectly into the Claw Stars universe and resonates with fans of both IPs; we believe this crossover will be able to increase our retention and download volume by at least 20%,” he said.

“We foresee huge fan interaction with this crossover event that will spur further expansion and growth of the fanbase. I believe this is just the first step towards more long-term collaborations with Minto and possibly introducing new IPs across our games.”

Lexus introduces NX luxury crossover with video spots

Lexus has introduced a luxury crossover, the Lexus NX, with a campaign that illustrates how the 2015 NX goes beyond the capabilities of a typical SUV to offer urban consumers a stylish vehicle that fits their active lifestyles. 

“Lexus is entering a new segment with our first-ever entry luxury crossover. The NX is a dynamic vehicle that blends high-end design with utility,” said Brian Smith, Lexus' VP of marketing. “This marketing campaign creatively demonstrates that this vehicle–which offers a chiseled, angular body design with an aggressive turbo-charged engine–is fun to drive and ready for any adventure.”

At least two of the video spots from the campaign are available for viewing at youtube.com/LexusVehicles, and the #LexusNX hashtag can be used on social media. In “What You Get Out of It,” a group of high-fashion urbanites showcase the vehicle that complements their lives. 

“Moving” continues the first spot’s story with the same group of friends and the question "any SUV can move something, but can it move you?". Key vehicle specifications, including the Qi wireless device charger and next-generation Remote Touchpad, are highlighted.
