HP has announced the availability of the HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC in Singapore. The luxury device, the result of nearly two years of collaboration, blends Ferrari’s design philosophy and racing heritage with HP’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation and precision engineering.

“This notebook is a true reflection of how Ferrari and HP set a cutting-edge manufacturing technology, where advanced material engineering and craftsmanship converge into a unique, uncompromising expression of performance, precision, innovation and refined design,” said Flavio Manzoni, Chief Design Officer, Ferrari.

“We are excited to work with Ferrari to create a product that transcends traditional boundaries of PC design,” added Stacy Wolff, Senior VP of Design and Sustainability, HP Inc.

“The HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari is a testament to what can be achieved when two industry leaders combine their expertise—delivering an extraordinary user experience that is as capable as it is beautiful. This is HP at its best: built for your best work, in style.”

The HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari is a masterclass in design and engineering, guided by a single principle: every element originates from a technical necessity. The result is a device where performance, technical clarity, and visual identity converge.

Accompanied by a Poltrona Frau leather sleeve, crafted from the same Italian leather used in Ferrari car interiors, the device is as stylish in transit as it is in use. The CNC precision-milled chassis features a zirconium bead-blasted surface in Rosso Magma, Ferrari’s iconic finish that evokes the primal energy of molten lava. Metallic particles create 3D depth across every curve and line of the device.

Over 2,000 calibrated micro-perforations in the technical glass surface are inspired by fluid dynamics, working in synergy with the fans to maximise air intake and cooling efficiency. The cooling system is intentionally left visible as a direct nod to Ferrari’s exposed engine bay design.

This PC is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra X7 processor 358H with Intel Arc B390 graphics that delivers up to 180 TOPS for fast, responsive performance.

Featuring a 3 K Tandem OLED+ touch display, the HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari delivers ultra-bright visuals for a cinematic viewing experience. Exclusive Ferrari wallpapers are included. The keyboard is equipped with LED backlighting for each individual key, enabling four customisable lighting animations and any-colour selection with RGB.

The bottom surface of the device marries carbon fibre and glass construction—a nod to Ferrari's philosophy of functional transparency. A full glass palm rest and haptic touchpad boundary that illuminates on contact are a direct extension of Ferrari’s “eyes on the road, hands on the wheel” philosophy.

HP Wolf Security for Business provides a hardware-enforced, resilient defence against cyberthreats.

Details

The HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC is available on HP.com in Singapore for S$8,250.

Only 4,999 units are available, each with a serial number, reflecting Ferrari’s philosophy to sell one less car than the market demands and reinforcing the device’s status as a collector's item.

Aftershock unveils Apex 15X EVO hybrid performance laptop

Source: Aftershock PC. The new Apex 15x EVO laptop.
Source: Aftershock PC. The new Apex 15x EVO takes over as a flagship model.

Aftershock PC, Singapore’s premier PC builder, has launched the Apex 15X EVO – one of the world’s first hybrid performance laptops aimed at pushing the limits of conventional portable offerings with a liquid-or-air-cooling design.

Representing a new generation of laptops, the flagship Apex 15X EVO combines an entirely new internal architecture with an external liquid-cooling module – the Aftershock Glacier Core – to extend its thermal capabilities for unprecedented compute performance in a mobile form factor. When liquid-cooling is enabled, the Apex 15X EVO operates at lower temperatures, decreased noise levels, and even better performance.

The Apex 15X EVO features a compact 186 x 203 x 75 mm partial-aluminium chassis and a 2.2 kg body. The laptop takes advantage of Intel’s new 12th Gen chipsets – ranging from the i7-12700K to i9-12900H – to push benchmark-breaking performances with its novel combination of performance-cores (P-Cores) and efficient-cores (E-Cores). Each core is optimised for different use cases, allowing the Apex 15X EVO to utilise P-Cores for demanding compute tasks while E-Cores maximise performance per watt for less taxing operations to offer better battery life.

In trial benchmarks, the new chipsets offered an overall 39% performance uplift in comparison to their 11th Gen counterparts, the most significant generational leap in recent iterations.

The 12th Gen CPUs are complemented by NVIDIA’s mightiest GPUs – the new RTX 3070Ti and RTX 3080Ti. The RTX 3070Ti has a 70% performance uplift over the previous-gen RTX 2070 SUPER, while the RTX 3080Ti packs even more extreme performance through its 16GB GDDR6 memory, outgunning even a desktop-class NVIDIA TITAN RTX.

Their output feeds into a screen that is in a league of its own: a brand-new QHD 240Hz Wide Color Gamut display. With a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, the Apex 15X EVO’s panel delivers outstanding clarity and colour precision at a 240 Hz refresh rate, enabling premium competitive play while staying faithful to colour accuracy for content creation needs.

In keeping with its flagship status, the performance laptop supports up to 64 GB of next-gen 4,800 MHz DDR5 memory and up to 4 TB of 7,000 mbps GEN4 SSD storage. Core features that make the Apex 15X series a favourite remain, including a per-key-RGB mechanical keyboard, 92 Wh battery, and an extensive selection of ports.

The Apex 15X EVO is the first-ever Aftershock PC notebook to support the Aftershock Glacier Core liquid-cooling module, which amplifies the laptop’s overwhelming performance with powerful heat dissipation and thermal regulation. The module houses a pump, fan and up to 210 ml of coolant that work together to drop temperatures by up to 20o Celsius even during the heaviest applications, resulting in lower fan speeds and far less operation noise.

In Aftershock's labs, Apex 15X EVO systems on liquid-cooling mode performed up to 9.8% better than on the air-cooling mode.

Aftershock PC, founded in 2012, redefines the way consumers build PCs. It has operations in Singapore, Australia and Malaysia.

Details:

Pre-orders for the flagship laptop are available starting from S$2,899 at Aftershock PC’s webstore. For a limited time only, customers purchasing the Apex 15X EVO early can look forward to receiving a free upgrade to Intel’s i9-12900H chipset whilst stocks last.

The 2020 lineup of LG gram laptops stick to the company’s winning formula – lightweight, compact, with a long battery life – while adding performance. Redesigned for 2020, the new lineup delivers more features and a minimalist design for a seamless, premium look.

LG’s newest gram series, highlighted by the LG gram 17 (model 17Z90N), LG gram 15 (model 15Z90N), LG gram 14 (model 14Z90N) and 14" LG gram 2-in-1 (model 14T90N), are designed to set a new standard for portable computing.

At the heart of the new series is the 10th Generation Intel Core processor with IrisPlus graphics and up to 24 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory. With double the graphics processing power of last year’s models, users can edit 4K video on-the-go and enjoy smoother games than before.

There is a larger 80 Wh battery in both the 17Z90N and 15Z90N. The new LG grams also come with Wi-Fi 6 ensuring enhanced wireless connectivity, better efficiency and lower battery consumption. The Mega Cooling System keeps devices running cool and quiet under all usage scenarios.

A CES 2020 Innovation Award Honoree, the flagship model LG gram 17 offers maximum productivity in a portable form factor. The 17" Wide Quad Extended Graphics Array (WQXGA) IPS display delivers detailed images with precise colours. The device’s 16:10 display provides more room to work as well.

The new LG gram 15 and 14 continue the brand’s legacy of providing long usage times for less charging and more convenience. LG’s ultra-portable convertible laptop, the LG gram 2-in-1 (model 14T90N), returns this year with greater functionality and the addition of Thunderbolt 3. This versatile device retains its core DNA, delivering more than 20 hours of worktime in a package that tips the scale at 1,145 g.

“The LG gram series continues to lead the industry in delivering beyond expectations when it comes to portability without sacrifice,” said Jang Ik-hwan, head of LG’s IT business division.

“Historically, customers had to choose one feature among performance, portability and battery life. LG gram is proof that this adage is no longer true.”

The Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore has announced that it will be expanding its product offerings in Singapore from smartphones and smartwatches to laptops. The laptop range includes the latest HUAWEI MateBook 13 and MateBook X Pro.

"You need the right devices and technology that can travel with you, be ready when you are – whenever and wherever inspiration strikes," said Microsoft Chief Product Officer Panos Panay in a blog post.

"That’s the power of Surface, Windows, and Office connected together through the cloud, creating the right instrument for you. We’ve designed them together to optimise every ounce, every pixel, and every line of code to empower you to be more productive and more creative."

The new Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 come in an all-new matte black finish. "As a team we explore different finishes. And when we modelled our devices in this beautiful matte black, we fell in love. We knew we had to bring it to life for our customers," Panay said.

Surface Pro 6 runs on the latest 8th generation Intel Quad Core processor. It is more than 67% faster than the 5th generation Surface Pro, and features a PixelSense Touch Display.

Surface Laptop 2 also has boosted performance from a new Quad Core 8th generation Intel processor, which enables it to be 85% faster than the original Surface Laptop. Crafted with a premium design, PixelSense Touch Display, and best-in-class keyboard and trackpad, this new generation delivers 14.5 hours of battery life.

The Surface Studio 2 is the most powerful Surface ever. The creative canvas is built for creators who need vibrancy, high graphics performance, and fast processing, backed by Pascal graphics and a GPU that is 50% faster. The new Surface Studio is 38% brighter, with 22% more contrast, and designed to work with the Surface Pen to the tune of 4,096 levels of pressure, tilt sensitivity for drawing and sketching, and best-in-class ink latency.

And now, there are Surface Headphones to complete the Surface experience. "Whether you’re in an open work space, a café or on the go, Surface Headphones help tune out or tune in wherever you are. They slip comfortably over your ears to surround you with spectacular sound quality and 13 levels of ambient noise control," Panay said.

While Surface Headphones are optimised for Surface devices, they will pair with any Bluetooth-enabled device. Two beam-forming microphones on each ear cup, eight microphones in total, offer excellent call experiences. Intuitive on-ear dials provide easy adjustment of volume and noise cancellation.
