Blum & Co reinvents the cheongsam for workwear

Blum & Co (Blum), a Singaporean brand, has introduced a modern take on the cheongsam in a new line of workwear.

Source: Blum & Co.
Invented in the 1920s, the cheongsam represented the liberation of women. In the early days, it was a full-sleeved, loose-cut garment. It then evolved into designs with slimmer fits and shorter lengths, plus a slit up the side. Cheongsam were banned when the communist government took over in China, but continued to hold sway in Hong Kong for years. Today, many Chinese officials and ministers don the cheongsam in both official and informal occasions as a reflection of their heritage.

Blum’s fashion design team has been inspired by traditional cheongsam to create bold designs using modern materials and accents such as lace sleeves. Designed to be worn throughout the year for both day and evening, light and airy fabrics sourced from top-quality apparel manufacturers from Europe, Korea and Japan have been used to create pieces that drape well and complement modern accessories.

The collection’s versatility is testament to the company’s experience in dressing Singapore’s urban women for over three decades. “We have designed workwear for Singapore women for so many years that we are familiar with what Singaporeans like in their office wear. We are excited to launch our all-new cheongsam collection as we believe that it is time for a reintroduction of this feminine trend in the workplace and that it will be well-received,” said Anna Kong, founder and owner of Blum.

“We have also worked in orchid, batik and Merlion icons into our collection, to make it a uniquely Singapore fashion statement.”

Hashtags: #blumsg, #blumstyle, #blumnco, #blumncosg

*Image features a silk cheongsam (S$259) from the Blum & Co Cheongsam Collection with an S-curve to accentuate the female form. The piece comes in contrasting colours. There is a pink with contrasting green orchid version, and a black with contrasting blue and red batik version (pictured). According to Blum & Co, the orchid represents wealth and class. Items in the collection range from S$189 to S$389, and make use of fabrics such as lace, wool silk, cotton silk and stretchable silk.

Arab Fashion Week completes Riyadh, Dubai SS18 editions

Following the first edition of Arab Fashion Week (AFW) in Riyadh, KSA earlier this season, the Arab Fashion Council (AFC) has held the sixth edition of Arab Fashion Week held in Dubai, UAE. The biannual event on 9 to 12 May on board the historical Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) ship, attracted more than 15,000 visitors.

AFW is one of the first and only platforms in the world dedicated to promoting resort and 'ready-couture' collections.

Ready-couture refers to the sweet spot between the privacy and exclusivity of haute couture and ubiquity of ready-to-wear, with a social responsibility and ecological-friendly component. Ready-couture reduces mass production and offers a more privileged designer/client relationship than ready-to-wear fashion offers.

Resort collections, on the other hand, refer to pre-collection shows. In the past, designers lacked the resources for pre-collection shows and would "resort" to using photographs.

Twenty-one international and regional fashion designers showcased their collections at the 6th edition of Arab Fashion Week in Dubai, UAE, including:

The Arab Fashion Council also introduced the AFC Green Label initiative that supports emerging ecofriendly labels at AFW. The first 'green' designers to present their collections were Italian-born Bav Tailor and Croatian label Krie Design with plans for more ecofriendly brands to participate in the next editions of AFW later this year.

There are typically two editions of AFW a year, corresponding to the spring/summer and autumn/winter collections put out every year. AFW will return later this year with Riyadh and Dubai editions. These will take place in October and November 2018 respectively.

Open to the public from 6 to 15 October 2017, visitors to the exhibition can expect to be inspired by a showcase for collectors, connoisseurs and aficionados across all segments of sophisticated living, including jewellery, timepieces, vintage, eyewear, fashion, art and living style.

Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board’s Kickstart Fund, the first-of-its-kind jewellery and sophisticated living showcase will meld offline and online concepts together., feature elements of a retail exhibition and an e-commerce marketplace.

“For over a decade, I have built a successful platform through Singapore JewelFest for passionate jewellery designers and brands from around the world to showcase their exquisite creations and gem stones. To satiate the evolving tastes of shoppers for a more discerning retail mix of affordable luxury, I am excited to introduce the brand new JeweLuxe Singapore – the world’s first multi-segment retail exhibition with an e-commerce marketplace,” said Angela Loh, Founder and CEO of JeweLuxe.

The exhibition hopes to achieve more than S$9 million in sales in its inaugural year. “Singapore is a city of sophisticated shoppers who appreciate unique pieces, be it jewellery, timepieces, art or any lifestyle propositions. The city also attracts discerning shoppers from Asia and around the world who enjoy the variety of international and independent brands in Singapore, making the retail experience at JeweLuxe Singapore the ideal springboard for brands to access Southeast Asia’s affluent segment,” added Loh.

The inaugural exhibition from 6 to 10 October casts a spotlight on the rare and the iconic, featuring designers who are icons of America curated by Paolo Costagli, American designer and jeweller. Kimberly McDonald, Sylva & Cie, Amedeo and Moritz Glik who make their Asia premiere at the first edition of JeweLuxe. Some of the jewellery houses showcasing rare and exceptional gems are Mouawad (US), Glajz (Singapore), DeGem (Malaysia), Hans D. Singapore fashion designers showcase collections digitally-printed by Epson

Epson, a printing technologies provider, has collaborated with Singapore-based designers to showcase digitally-printed collections at the FashionisTech showcase at the recently-held FUZE Fashion Technology 2017 in Singapore.

Organised by Textile and Fashion Federation (TAFF), the event is the first fashion technology summit to be held in Singapore, and aims to promote the advancement in material innovation and showcase creative partnerships with the use of technology amongst Singapore fashion labels.

Singaporean labels Wai Yang, Pleatation and Ying The Label worked with Epson to create and print their collections digitally with Epson’s digital dye-sublimation textile printer and direct-to-garment printer. Each designer showcased six outfits as part of their collections at the event.

Wai Yang

Burmese-born Singapore-based Wai Wai launched Wai Yang, in 2016. For Wai Yang, the printed collection will form the label’s autumn/winter 2017 collection. Inspired by an abandoned building in Prague, the collection features boxy and masculine silhouettes with vibrant prints.

With this, founder/designer Wai aims to re-appropriate the inappropriate, breathing new life and meaning into otherwise unwanted objects, turning trash and defective objects such as torn cargo boxes, dead leaves, wire and bubble wrap into abstract print designs.

The designs are translated into subtle print effects on meticulously selected textiles via a combination of dye-sublimation, direct printing and textured screen-printing techniques, resulting in a highly tactile collection.

“Working to produce my collection with a digital textile printer for the first time was an eye-opening experience. The printer was able to reproduce my designs accurately, capturing the colours vividly. In the process of experimenting with the printing, I discovered that there are many different printing effects that can be achieved on different materials, and I love the fact that it is possible to play with many unusual materials as well. All my print designs are printed beautifully and would otherwise never have been used, adding a new dimension and richness to my designs and pieces,” said Wai.

Pleatation

Pleatation is a pleat-focused brand from Singapore, specialising in pleated products in fashion, stationery, home and lifestyle. Pleatation launched its Resort 1718 collection, Le Enchant, at the event. The printed collection consisting of vibrant hues in its signature pleated designs. Taking inspiration from enchanted forests around the world, Le Enchant captures beautiful shades and wild silhouettes in its latest collection, printed through dye-sublimation printing.

“When printing with Epson’s digital textile technology, I’ve noticed the colours captured are brighter and more vibrant. Digital textile printing enables quick turnaround and shortens the production process, which is important to my business as new designs and collections need to be created and brought to retail quickly. Epson’s dye-sublimation printing technology reproduces my designs vividly unlike other printing technologies I’ve worked with, and I’m glad for the opportunity for this collaboration,” said Chiang Xiaojun, founder of Pleatation. By breaking down basic silhouettes of essential products, she recreates new styles with the use of colour, print and textures.

Ying The Label

Source: Epson Singapore. Li.
Source: Epson Singapore. Li.
For Ying The Label, the collection in collaboration with Epson draws its inspiration from the idea of contentment and living in the moment. From seeing the silver lining in every roadblock, to being able to dream, Ying uses vibrant strokes of colours to represent feelings in 'The Moment'. The relaxed silhouettes are deliberately kept simple, with emphasis on every detail of founder and designer Li Ying's unique art through the use of dye-sublimation and direct-to-garment printing methods.

“Printing with Epson’s digital textile printing technologies has opened new avenues of printing and design, in terms of textures and turnaround time to produce the collection. Experimenting with fabrics and seeing the colours of the printed fabric has been an amazing process. I am currently exploring avenues with Epson’s printing technologies to produce future collections,” said Li.

Li's art is created using abstract brush strokes dipped in whimsical colour palettes that can bring out the unique personality of every piece.

“The collaboration with the designers aims to showcase the versatility and capabilities of our digital textile printers and the opportunities it brings to the fashion industry. We aim to support the creative visions of designers to transform their ideas into reality. With our innovative printing technologies, designers are now free to express their creativity without limitations in colours and designs,” said Shuji Hamaguchi, Regional GM (SE Asia), Epson Singapore.

Digital printing shortens turnaround time and enables printing in small volumes for customised prints, compared to traditional printing techniques, which require high volumes and long lead times. As a result, digital printing helps designers to achieve their artistic vision by translating their ideas to a range of fabrics quickly, easily and in the highest quality.

Epson digital dye sublimation printers use Epson’s proprietary technology known as Micro Piezo and PrecisionCore TFP head technology. The Micro Piezo printheads, unlike thermal inkjet systems, eject droplets of ink via mechanical pressure and do not use heat, making it compatible with a far wider variety of inks and mediums. By precisely controlling the volume of ink contained in each droplet of ink, Epson’s Micro Piezo printers not only generate virtually no wasted ink, they also ensure that sharp, rich and virtually grain-free images are rendered at all times.

The FUZE Fashion Technology 2017 summit was held from 16 to 17 March 2017 in Singapore.

Younger consumers prefer shopping online for clothing

YouGov has discovered that consumers across the Asia Pacific region (APAC) are still shopping for clothing physically in-store, with more than three-quarters of those polled* (79%) saying they have shopped in-store in the past year.

Shopping in-store is particularly prevalent for shoppers in Hong Kong, Australia, and Malaysia, where 88%, 85% and 84% have done so, respectively. Shopping online via a website is the second-most popular method of purchasing apparel; nearly half of respondents in APAC (45%) have used a website to shop for clothing and accessories over the past year. The popularity of e-commerce has surged in mainland China, where three-quarters (75%) of people have bought apparel via a website over the past year.

Source: YouGov. Respondents in APAC share how they buy clothing.
Respondents in APAC share how they buy clothing.

The most popular reason for online shopping is to save time, say 69% of those who have shopped using websites over the past year and 66% of those who have used apps. Over half of those who shop online also value the price savings, with 58% of those who have shopped through websites and 54% of those who have shopped via apps citing price as an advantage of online shopping.

In contrast, apps are yet to break into the mainstream and have only been used to buy apparel by 15% of those polled in the past year. App usage peaks in Indonesia, China and Singapore where nearly one in five people (19%, 18% and 18% respectively) have purchased apparel through an app in the past year.

Indicators suggest however that shopping trends are set to change. Young people are more than twice as likely to have shopped using a website in the past year and more than six times as likely to have shopped via an app than older generations. Half of those aged 16 to 24 (51%) have shopped using a website over the past year and nearly a fifth (19%) have used an app. In contrast, just a quarter of over 55s (24%) shopped using a website and only 3% have used an app.

Conversely, shopping in-store is most popular with older generations; 90% of over-55s have shopped in-store, compared to 75% of 16 to 24 year olds. This suggests that, as one might expect, younger generations may be more open to shopping with new technologies than older generations. Over three-quarters of those who have shopped in-store (78%) say it is because they like to try out apparel before they buy it; 73% want to check the quality before they buy, and 56% simply enjoy shopping around.

Local markets and street vendors are bucking the trend. They attract 28% of consumers in APAC and are the most popular in Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia, where 41%, 38% and 36% of respondents respectively have bought apparel from local markets and street vendors in the past year.
They are more popular with young people than older generations; 35% of 16-24s purchase from markets compared with 23% of over-55s. One possibility, Yougov says, is that young people are strapped for cash and looking for a cheaper alternative to high street and luxury brands.

E- and m-commerce still have a long way to go before they can rival more traditional shopping experiences for convenience as well as for enjoyment. Opinions are divided as to whether new technologies are indeed up to the challenge. While 39% of respondents believe that retailers will close physical stores as online shopping becomes more popular, 36% don’t think they will.

*The company polled 9,037 people across Asia Pacific in December 2016 to investigate apparel shopping habits among the online population. Data was collected from research among YouGov’s panelists and was weighted to be representative of the online population. Sample size: Asia Pacific (n = 9,037; Australia: 1,009; China: 1,003; Hong Kong: 1003; Indonesia: 996; Malaysia: 1,003; Philippines: 1,008; Singapore: 1,004; Thailand: 1,004; Vietnam: 1,007).

Aladdin Street aims to be a top e-marketplace globally

Aladdinstreet.com.sg, the world’s first premium-quality products and halal* e-marketplace, has been formally launched. Serving the B2B and B2C communities, the portal offers halal-certified products as well as premium-quality products that do not require halal certification.

Three months since its July 2016 announcement, Aladdinstreet.com.sg has shortlisted 200 merchants for its site and finalised agreements with close to 60 merchants. About half of these offer halal-friendly or halal-certified products. Owned by Muslims and non-Muslims, the businesses provide food, beverages, vitamins, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fashion and other products or services.

Co-founder of the Aladdin Group Dato’** Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie does not see AladdinStreet.com.sg competing against existing marketplaces, instead creating a completely new marketplace that is a milestone for trust in halal goods and services. "When I bought things online I realised I wasn't sure of the quality," he explained. "I worried if they were (genuine)."

“There has been a growing acceptance of the health benefits for halal products even in non-Muslim countries,” says Dr Al Masrie. “But manufacturers and producers of the halal industry can only meet 20% of this demand because there is a lack of reliable marketing platforms. In fact one of the biggest importers of halal products is actually Singapore, and given the country’s good track record in governance and high standards of halal compliance, Aladdinstreet.com.sg will help these SMEs access this market to its fullest potential.”

On the future of Aladdinstreet.com.sg, former senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore, Zainul Abidin Rasheed, is optimistic that the e-commerce site will create new brand purpose, values and new avenues for growth, especially now that Singapore is experiencing an economic slowdown.

"Singapore is well-known for its branding as a business and financial centre, both in terms of its integrity and quality standards, and this applies to its halal standards too," says Zainul, who is currently the non-resident Ambassador to Kuwait and the Foreign Minister's Special Envoy to the Middle East.

Imran Musa, Advisor, Aladdin Group and CEO of ARK, a halal competency developer specialist, noted that the halal opportunity is worth an estimated US$3 trillion by 2019. "Halal is not just religious per se, (it is about) how you process the food, the cosmetics, what kind of allergens are in there, these are things that need to be properly examined. It is a guarantee of a good product," he said. "There are 1.8 billion consumers. More than 600 million of them are IT savvy, they shop online, they do a lot of things online. For Hari Raya, more than 50% of consumers shopped online; that is something that is the way forward for all of us. Singapore is an e-commerce and finance hub. That is why we started with (Singapore)."

Singapore Co-founder & President, Dato’ Dr Grace Kong added that Aladdinstreet.com.sg is not just for Muslims because halal is about making healthier choices for everyone including non-Muslims, and everyone has become more socially conscious of their consumption patterns. Dato’ Kong explains, “They want to know what they eat, wear, what they apply on their face, where it comes from and how the animals were treated. It’s about cruelty free, ethical and sustainable consumption too.”

AladdinStreet Singapore is also focused on educating the public that halal does not only refer to food. Halal cosmetics, health and pharmaceuticals are growing markets, and cosmetic giants from Europe and Korea are already manufacturing halal cosmetics for Muslim markets, the Aladdin Group notes.

"Singapore is one amongst 15 countries which have a Muslim population with the highest purchasing power, as revealed by the Economist Intelligence Unit. The nation has been named the friendliest non-Islamic destination for Muslim travellers for 2012-2014, according to the Global Muslim Travel Index. Countries like China and Japan look to Singapore as a benchmark for a successful halal industry without disrupting social and economic culture. So, Singapore is indeed fortunate to have such capabilities and favourable factors. But doing business in Singapore has never been about simply its local market. Plugging into Singapore's business network and infrastructure typically serves as a powerful launch-pad and gateway to the regional and global market," added Ambassador Zainul.

Various companies have partnered with AladdinStreet Singapore to extend their reach beyond Singapore and hope to increase sales by 40% in the next 12 months. One of AladdinStreet Singapore’s merchants is Singapore-listed Food Empire, a company since 2000, which has been manufacturing halal-certified instant beverages, frozen food and snacks to Muslim majority markets such as Malaysia, Central Asia and the Middle East. All four of its factories in Malaysia are halal certified. Its partnership with AladdinStreet Singapore aims to further expand its halal business into Southeast Asia.

Artistic-Arrivo offers the Atelo Collagen Jelly Mask on AladdinStreet. The halal-certified product has ingredients that penetrate cells to encourage collagen generation, smooth skin and reduce acne, the company said.

Ice's Secret's Pure Radiance Mask has skin brightening properties. It can be used for the eyes and anywhere the skin is duller, and is suitable as foundation. Apply overnight and wash off in the morning. 100% herbal.

ZAC Meat has been supplying halal meats to restaurants and hotels from day one, and recently expanded to supermarket shelves - and AladdinStreet, says ZAC Business Development Manager Selvam S. ZAC's portfolio includes sausages, cold cuts, ready-to-eat products as well as cheeses, dips, and spices.

Alcurea is distributing the Grayns rice cooker, which strains out the sugar content of rice, reducing its glycaemic load, as part of the cooking process. Zahid Masauood, MD, Alcurea, said that the distributor had been invited to join AladdinStreet as Dr Al Masrie had started off using Grayns and liked it.

Note Cosmetics was established in 2015 after they noticed a lack of halal cosmetics retailers in the market. The company has since seen an increase in sales from non-Muslim customers, who have grown to appreciate their products because they do not contain ingredients derived from animals.

Budinadia marries modern and vintage fashion to create limited edition clothing. Founder and MD Nadia Nadzirah has abayas, jubahs with kain songket embellishments, as well as shawls which make use of high quality fabric with Western-style prints. Her collection also includes kurta-style tops for men. Asked why she chose to go with Aladdinstreet Nadia said being part of a community of merchants gives her opportunities to learn that would not have been possible going it alone. Juz Demure is selling dri-fit sports hijab after the company saw more Muslim women wanting to pursue an active lifestyle without compromising on modesty. The hijab is designed to fit snugly and securely even with a wide range of movement, and under conditions such as under a motorcycle helmet.

The Camellia dri fit hijab, at an introductory price of S$38, also has reflective lines and a logo at the back for safety during night runs. The company has seen an increase in sales of 20% since it started operations in 2015.

“Finally, a trusted and a convenient one-stop e-commerce site for halal and quality products for me and my family, “ says Singapore football legend Fandi Ahmad. Fandi will be launching his biography on the site in the future.

In terms of its pricing strategy, Aladdinstreet.com.sg does not plan to indulge in discounts and flash sales often seen with e-commerce sites because its priority is quality and integrity, values driven by its business integrity checks and stringent halal compliance requirements. It is also rolling out a halal educational programme for merchants to help them better understand the halal compliance requirements.

Aladdin expects to be a top 10 e-marketplace globally, hosting over 100,000 merchants and more than 3 million unique products in three years. "Our vision is to become No. 1 in halal e-commerce. The market is huge. We are focusing on quality control, what is premium. We are hoping that in a short time we will be as big as Alibaba," said Dr Al Masrie.

"The key difference that sets Aladdinstreet.com.sg apart from other e-commerce platforms is that our merchants and customers will enjoy support and assistance from Aladdinstreet’s network offices located in 30 countries in phase one and another 20 more in phase two - covering a combined total population of approximately 5 billion consumers," said Dato' Kong.

AladdinStreet Singapore is one of 29 countries that the Group has since entered into joint ventures, including India, Indonesia, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Iran and the US. The next announcement to come will be on AladdinStreet China, the Aladdin Group executives said. Today, there are more than 20 million Muslims in China where the domestic demand for halal by non-Muslims is also increasing given the recent food scares there.

The Aladdin Group is also on the verge of confirming an exclusive and first-ever brand partnership with one of the world's biggest football clubs, which will give consumers and merchants access to 650 million fans in over 200 territories, allow for faster access into China and helping to meet AladdinStreet Singapore’s target of S$50 million in sales within the first year of its launch.

Dato' Sri Desmond To, Co-Founder and President, Aladdin Group, disclosed that the company is also negotiating its own Islamic payment gateways in various countries. The gateways will work like AliPay. In Malaysia, the group is working with Maybank, while in Singapore the partnering bank is UOB.

ASICS launches all-in-one fuzeX TR

ASICS has launched fuzeX TR, a training shoe that leverages lightweight cushioning and cross-functional design to offer greater workout efficiency. The all-in-one shoe that delivers support to athletes across a variety of fitness backgrounds and levels of expertise, from high intensity interval training (HIIT), lifting free weights to running on a treadmill.

The launch of fuzeX TR is the latest step in ASICS’ expansion into the training category, a category projected to grow to more than US$55 billion globally by 2020. ASICS’ expertise in developing innovative footwear leaves it ideally positioned to develop training footwear that will allow people to maximise their potential and continuously improve their performance.

Workout efficiency is typically hampered by the inverse correlation between weight and cushioning in footwear. In developing fuzeX TR, the ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) was able to overcome this through its proprietary lightweight fuzeGEL midsole, so the shoe still provides effective cushioning for training, but with a thinner and lighter sole. Weighing about 260g (US Men’ Size 9 Half pair), fuzeX TR is 5% lighter than other ASICS training shoes in the same category*.

Built with versatility in mind, fuzeX TR offers broad-spectrum training features, including flexible forefoot grooves that deliver excellent floor traction for multidirectional training movements. Positive patterns on the outsole offer added traction across multiple terrains.

The no-sew upper also provides comfort in all movements. With a sole positioned closer to the ground fuzeX TR delivers a light and direct ride in the heel portion. The shoe’s low profile offers a comfortable and stable base, functional across a wide variety of training activities.

“FuzeX TR marks the beginning of a series of products developed specifically to meet a wide range of training needs,” commented Paul Miles, Senior General Manager, Global Marketing Division, ASICS Corporation. “In the spirit of ASICS’ ongoing WANT IT MORE campaign, we hope to engage with and motivate fitness enthusiasts to achieve their goals.”

Technavio outlines India fashion e-retail market

  • Men’s clothing segment is the dominant shareholder in the market
  • Key vendors—Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Jabong, and Yepme
The availability of a wide array of payment options and products, broader reach, and lower costs are encouraging online shopping for consumers in India, says Technavio’s analysts, who predict that the online fashion retail market in India will grow at a CAGR of almost 17% between 2016 and 2020.

Online shopping sites offer customers the opportunity to choose between a number of payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards, cash on delivery (COD), electronic wallets, smart cards, Internet banking, and demand drafts. Favourable demographic factors, better return policies, and increasing adoption of digital and push marketing by vendors are some of the other factors that will contribute to the growth in the online fashion retail market in India during the forecast period.

“The distribution of users between mobile applications and websites is an ongoing trend in the market. Mobile apps have a tremendous impact on the growth of the online fashion retail market in India as they offer a faster alternative to mobile web browsing for consumers to shop on the go. Key players in the market are coming up with more sophisticated fashion apps designed to leverage each functionality on specific operating systems such as Windows, Android, and iOS. Online retailers are emphasising on finding a balance between mobile applications and websites to cater to the masses who prefer shopping online,” says Brijesh Kumar Choubey, Lead Analyst, Consumer & Retail, Technavio Research.

In 2015, men's clothing online accounted for around 53% of the market share to dominate the online fashion retail market. However, more women in the country are likely to be employed and empowered financially in the coming years, thereby boosting growth in the women’s clothing online segment. Furthermore, hectic lifestyles and time crunch are encouraging women to transition towards online shopping rather than visit brick-and-mortar stores. The availability of premium women’s clothing is also projected to increase purchases and add more revenue by 2020.

The key players in the online fashion retail market in India include Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Jabong, and Yepme. Intense competition prevails in this market with most players selling broadly similar products. However, the global players like Amazon and eBay are offering an impressive range of fashion products, which has posed a tough challenge for regional players like Flipkart and Snapdeal. According to Technavio, the purchase decision of consumers is price-dependent so vendors need to focus on pricing strategies and the provision of innovative services. Most users prefer COD and conduct a price comparison before making a purchase, the research firm added.
